I hope everyone enjoyed their half-day. Today we are continuing to work on our grammar homework as well as our math problem set 16 if it was not finished in class today. The students were also given lesson 16 math homework. Please make sure we are reading for at least 20 minutes today.

The students have grammar and math homework this week. Please be sure to read for at least 20 minutes. We have started to learn about explorers in social studies, and will begin talking about extinction in science. We are also learning about context clues in reading. In math, we are working on estimation. Progress reports went home in the Tuesday folders today. The students received a math homework sheet today that would be great practice for them. They should complete the Wednesday section on their grammar sheet, and read for thirty minutes tonight.
Important Dates: September 17-Kona Ice Septemeber 17- Class Conferences September 22- Early Release Your children received a math review sheet that will help them study for the Eureka Math Mid-Module Assessment. They should start on Tuesday with their grammar homework. Don't forget to read for thirty minutes. Progress reports will be going home tomorrow also.
